Digital Signs

TCS Transportation Services has had a long partnership with Redmon Group in Alexandria, Virginia to provide digital signage for commuters.  Redmon’s Transit Display product helps commuters find nearby transit options and information quickly. It combines real-time transit arrival information, news, media, advertisements, announcements, bike and car share availability into one, attractive customized designed and readable display.

The Transit Displays can be located indoors and outdoors and can include LCD, LED and ePaper displays.  The Transit Display’s content management system enables our clients to be able to monitor, maintain and update their own displays.

Lawrence Transit

TCS installed a signage system for Lawrence Transit in the City of Lawrence, Kansas. The signs serve commuters at the new Central Station on the University of Kansas campus. Each of the eight bus bays at the Station serve eight different routes with a TCS-installed sign providing route and bus arrival information at each bay.   

There are also three touch-screen kiosks at the Station, delivering additional transit information to commuters. This information includes arrival times for all buses at the Station, a system map, rider rules, and any travel advisories. Each kiosk is equipped with assistive technology for the vision impaired. Further, all touch-screen options at the kiosks are provided at an appropriate height to be wheelchair accessible.
